Getting in the Holiday Spirit!

I love the holidays, all the lights, trees, and most importantly, the sweets! Zach is my little kitchen elf and we have already had so much fun! Today we made Peppermint Bark and yesterday we made sugar cookies. I think I will challenge myself to a craft or treat each day from now until Christmas. It is such a fun way to spend time with Zach.

Zach's First Aquarium Trip!

Zach has recently gotten into watching Finding Nemo which has created a fascination with fish. We can also thank Team Umizoomi for introducing him to seahorses as well. =) I figured he would love a trip to the aquarium and Bank of America was offering free entrance at the UCSD Birch Aquarium for card holders so we went! Zach had a great time looking at seahorses, fish, and he loved being able to touch the starfish in the tidepools! This was also our first outing since starting potty training and he did great. I am so excited that he is doing so well, hooray for not having to buy diapers!

It was a beautiful day and there were tons of surfers down there.

You aren't suppose to grab the animals, just touch with one finger. I didn't think he would do this but he was super quick and freaked out the poor young woman helping us!

Here is Zach watching a helicopter fly down the coast. Probably the highlight of the trip! =) 

PS-we did find Nemo, I just ran out of room on my camera to take more photos! Need to start carrying a spare card with me!

Trick or Treat!

Zach had a good time Trick or Treating this year. He only made it to about 1/3 of the houses around our block but by the end he was tuckered out! He is soooo shy around strangers so no one could hear him say "trick or treat" but they all thought he was cute!

Halloween calls for a trip to the pumpkin patch!

We finally got our butts in gear and took Zach to the local "pumpkin farm." It is a little funny, as it is in the middle of town but for us, was better than just going to the kind that is set up in parking lots. Zach had a great time looking at all the pumpkins and really enjoyed picking them up and moving them around.

 We took a hay ride.

 The tractor driver was super nice and let Zach sit in the tractor(we were the only people on that ride)

 As always, our serious boy sat there trying to figure out how to make it turn on.

 

We ran the corn maze, Zach had a great time!

 

Zach picked out his own pumpkin in the field and insisted on carrying it the whole way back to the car.

 He also insisted that he hold it the entire ride home. He is too cute!
